Evening everyone. I'm just waiting for this week to pass. I reckon we will get Friday off, so two more days to go! Since I have no family plans for New Years, I really look forward to just relaxing and having the days off.

AND, it is supposed to warm up for a few days, warm front coming through! yay! Will be 50F tomorrow and maybe 60F by the end of the week! So nice compared to the 34F high we had today, and I didn't bring my gloves with me when I left for work, so my fingers froze today every time I had to go out. And sheesh, my car takes forever and a day to warm up!

Evenin' all. Went shopping with mother, she didn't go shopping for herself during christmas, and me and dad couldn't think of anything to buy her, so we just gave her a fat wad of cash and told her to buy what she wanted. She wanted me to go with her. Ended up holding all her clothes and stuff and waited for her to try it all on. We spent about 3 hours looking at stuff. I'm proud of myself for not going insane. I did end up buying myself a nifty long sleeve shirt. So how did everyone else's day go? Also: On a side note, for some reason, my right hand and my right hand only is very cold...

Someguy, you spent three hours shopping for ladies things? !!!! I can hear women everywhere swoon with desire for you

At work today I had to get a plane ready to go to Thailand so it could bring home some injured people. We had to set up a couple of stretchers in record time, and fix a few problems. Delay was not an option.

Every time I switch on the news the number of people died just shoots up... *sigh*

Evening all. I had a rather strange incident this afternoon. I was in this computer shop browsing these computer games. There was also 2 other customer in the aisle together with me. Suddenly the shelf gave way and the entire row of items tumble towards us ( boxes, papers, cds , casing ). Thank goodness I was standing at the place where they only put cd papers ( the little game papers where you can find at the cd casing ). The 2 other people weren't so lucky and was buried under pile of game boxes. They however suffer no injury ( as I can see).

The shop owner appologizes to us and offer us 3 pc games for FREE. In return she don't want us to make a fuss about it. wow! talk about bribing your customer. The 2 customer was so angry about the incident and they just stomp out of the shop. I took up the offer and got 3 free games.

Emm..did I do the right thing? Should I have complaint abou the incident?

Kakero, my friend, this is an imperfect world. If there was nobody hurt, that's the main thing. He made a good offer, which I probably would have refused and helped him fix the shelf.

Oh, and I'll have the cafe breakfast please.

Kaero, as your manager/agent, I think you should give me one of them as my cut off the top. This will encourage me to find more wobbly shelves for you to get crushed by!

LadyZ, hope your weather gets warmer for a while. I hate having to scrape ice off my car windows or watch them fog up if we breathe on the way to work!

Variol, just for you: heeehee!

Kakero, sounds like everyone was ok, so I guess you should enjoy your new games and just hope that the store owner fixes those shelves so it won't happen again.

SomeGuy, you're every young lady's DreamGuy! Shopping all day and not even making a crack about needing some 'manly' things like movies with explosions and tough guy games to make up for all that 'froo froo' stuff...LOL (that's what my husband always says he needs after shopping with me for 'ladies stuff' )

Cloudy, I'm with Nacht. There's only so much of that civil stuff a guy can take, and then it's time to blow something up Or in my case, get out there and kill something (in a game, natch).

And TheGrandSlayer, 68F is 20C. One of the few temperature conversions I have memorized (the others being 212/100, 32/0, and -40/-40).

A happy day for me today! I was planning on flying somewhere... anywhere... because I needed 4700 more miles on Northwest to move up to a higher preferred flyer level. I went over my travel activities for the last year, and I found over 8,000 miles that I haven't gotten credit for yet! So I don't have to fly, and I still get the boost. Yippee, skippy!

Yeah, I know. Doesn't exactly thrill your day, but it makes a difference for me over the next year.
