Version 9 has been released in the meantime. But according to Icelus in another thread at that forum, it doesn't contain anything more than v8 that the average user would need to be overly concerned with - which, I imagine, is why a great net-wide announcement wasn't made for V9.

Just a short question on Minsc's quest (spoilers):
- - - - - - - - - - I've played through it and have only now (in the Sahuagin City) realised that Minsc had 19STR. Is that an effect of the quest or a bug? The readme states that completing the quest in the best possible way you get 20,000XP, a statuette and some gems. I tried everything, but all I get are the XP, the gems and a licence to cast magic. Is this an error in the readme or did I miss something? (I also scoured SKeeper for any statuette or figurine that wasn't accounted for in other quests but found none). Spoil me!

Yes, Minsc's strength is due to the Boo quest. I can't recall offhand if Cliffette had to change it to 19 to work around engine restrictions, but it is meant to be a type of reward. It's not a bug. [img]smile.gif[/img]

ey icelus...I've played a save of me where I am to meet Drizzt so I could ask his help...so I thit the normal things and eventually I am at bodhi's place...but where is entreri...should I do something special besides asking Drizzt his help?

Yeah, there was a bug in versions 8 and below that prevented him from speaking the correct dialog on some systems. This was fixed in v9. Sorry.
