Re: Facebook redux
I have a facebook page. I've found it really cool for catching up with people from school and such that I lost touch with. It seems like everyone I ever knew has a page! I don't bother with most of the applications, just use it for communication.
What I find annoying though is when people that I knew say at high school send me a friend request, and we haven't seen each other or spoken at all since then, so like 10 years, and they don't say anything when you add them as a friend, like 'what have you been doing' etc. It's like, "I recognise her name, I'll add her as a friend!" Clearly just an attempt to beef up their friend list

Re: Facebook redux
Yeah it's a pet peeve of mine. All these social networking sites should replace "friend" with "contact". To me a friend is someone I hang out with and would help move out, not someone I spoke to once.
I like Facebook more than Myspace personally, because facebook isn't about pimping out your page and "having one billion friends man it's so cool add me it's like totally going to be awesome!"

Re: Facebook redux
Just a warning for those who use Facebook. Employers do check it, so watch what you put in your public profile...
