I have a question. I do not have any save games anywhere near the end of KOTOR (I just finished earlier today, and did not think about it until I finished and got rid of the in-between save games), so I will just ask for a spoiler on this. When you get to the Star Forge, and you get to the computer bank where you can get the jedi robes, I have always gotten the robes. However, there are also options for armor out there. My question is two-fold:

  1. The descriptions given are not terribly good about the types of armor available. What are the types of armor that the machine will generate? Are they any good (I have the PC version, so have access to Yavin station, so take that into consideration)?
  2. Can you generate the robes, then get armor (or visa-versa)? Do you have to pick up the item previously generated before getting the next item?

They're nothing special, none of them is unique.
Medium: Light Battle Armor, you find your first suit of these on Taris, and once you get to Dantooine they're obsolete.
Heavy: Durasteel Armor, AC +10, max dex +0. Also available on the Leviathan.
Don't know the light one though. Don't know the answer to your second question either. I'd say just get the robes and don't bother with the rest.

Only reason I'm asking is because this time through I'm playing a DS soldier/guardian, and I am playing with armor the whole way. But from what you are saying, no wonder they are only a few spikes each. Better off sticking with the Environmental Bastion Armor or Calo Nord Armor.
