I haven't got one (yet) but I've played on one a few times and the graphics are great for a handheld console!

I would definatly purchase one, if I had the money.

Hehe, I would want one too, but everytime I try one out in my local store they always have either a very bad driving game (Ridge racer or something, good graphics buut terrible gameplay) or a game with monkeys playing football... so, so far I have been totally unimpressed by this system... I love my PSP too! Grand Theft Auto LCS, Burnout Legends, WC Poker, and Metal Gear Acid are some of my PSP Faves. Untold Legends and Tony Hawk are two others I enjoyed. Plus MPEG 4 movies and TV shows are Grrrreat to watch.

I just had the best 3 hr plane trip + 8 hour drive I've ever had thanks to my PSP.

Um, Chewy, you're not supposed to game and drive...and I sure hope you weren't the pilot...
As for the game console, I'll never buy anything else from Sony for as long as I live, after the little virus scam they ran on legitimate consumers.

Do you drive a Toyota, Mitsubishi, Honda, Volskwagon use an IBM or Apple, or wear Nike, Adidas or Reebok shoes? They've all done much worse things, yet I don't see the stink over it. Every company has theirs hands dirty in some way. Anyways, I'm going to buy a PSP once they cheapen, how is the battery life while playing? Watching a movie?

Battery life is about 5-10 hrs for music and movies on a memory stick. About 5 hrs for UMD movies. Games vary depending on how often the UMD drive is used. I'd say 3-7 hrs is a good estimate. Rumor has it sony plans a newer, longer lasting battery and a possible HD attachment.

The division of Sony which makes the PSP is related by name only to the Sony/BMG division that used spyware.

While hardly perfect, like anyone else, the PSP elevated portable gaming to the next level and is a solid device.

I've had mine since day one and my only complaint so far is the long wait for a decent game library. Now that some decent RPG and Strategy titles are on the horizon that complaint is growing moot.
Interesting, but I can't see a pair of shoes frying a computer, or opening it up to be fried. The total violation of trust thing is just too much, which is sad, considering that up until that, I'd had confidence in them, and their products.

EDIT: I just bought an add-on to let my PSP output to a TV. I did buy another add-on that integrates directly with a PSP, but never did get that put together. Got an X2 battery tonite (but still charging it up.) That gives me double the battery strength than a regular battery. I got the SOCOM headphones so I have a mic on the PSP now. Lots of cool stuff. Had to buy a baseball card box (don't remember the count,) to put all the UMD's in (though I will need a bigger box soon.) Definitely helps for those long drives. I hang mine down from a visor and have the sound output going into my cassette adapter (though I hope to get an FM broadcaster pretty soon.) That way I can listen to it with my vehicle's speakers without cables. )
