EVE Online...
Well, I have been playing WoW for at least 4 years now, and while I still enjoy it, I have seen most of what it has to offer and needed a bit of a change.
EVE has always lurked in the background I i'm not sure if I avoided it because I was scared I would become addicted, or if I thought it would ruin my love for space sim's... But oh man, am I glad I gave it a go, the game is just amazing... Complicated, but amazing, anyways, before I start a rant about something I'm only new at, are there any other EVE players here? and do you have any tips for a new starter? |

Re: EVE Online...
There's at least one avid player here on IW but I cannot remember who, I just recall a thread being made about it. I always wondered about this game too, but from what I know it is a little dated at this stage and that kinda deters me.

Re: EVE Online...
Not dated at all, the constant expansions keep the graphics and system far more advanced than the likes of WoW.
Check out some in game footage if you can, or even try the trial if your curious, you might be surprised! |

Re: EVE Online...
I did, and was. I think I was remembering another game, or maybe another Eve game. It looks good, and graphically pleasing/updated for sure. Not sure how I feel about a space game...if it ain't star trek that is. I will possibly give it a try, I did indeed see they have a trial available. Good to see you found something other than WoW, I have been looking with no long-standing results.

Re: EVE Online...
I downloaded and installed the trial last week - going to give it a go. Last space game I played was Freespace 2 which was totally awesome!
I wish EVE would let you enter planet's atmosphere's / land, I loved that aspect of Elite 2 Frontier. I'm keeping my eye on Infinity (http://www.infinity-universe.com/Inf...id=1&Itemid=90) which has the sort of appeal I'm looking for. Not exactly an MMO, but still it's cool |
