No official word has been given. I am sure that as soon as someone discovers that there is, you'll see it here first! I know that BGI was made in 1988, and (not counting the expansion) we just received BGII very recently. It may take time, if there is to be one...

Funny, the sequence at the end of IWD seemed to foreshadow BG1 in my opinion. The character sounded and kinda looked similar to the villan in BG1? and isn;t IWD set before Bg1 on the Forgotten Realms timeline?

Yes, IWD does take place way before BG, but Belhifet, a demon, is in no way related to Saervok from BG, a mortal (albeit with divine blood). ALl the end movie stats is that Belhifet will be back for Crenshinibon when his 100-year banishment is up, though he's not the first demon to claim that *cough* Errtu *cough* BTW, don't count on a IWD2, unless Infogames is VERY kind and allows Black Isle to make another AD%D game, pretty unlikely.
