Just recently, whenever I try to access IW or any other forum my computer screen becomes choppy and slowed down. Using IW as an example this is what happens. I access the main forum screen and basically there is only a slight hesitation in scrolling down. Then if I decide to view the various topics in a particular forum , such as General Conversation, the ability to screen down becomes considerably stilted, jerky motion. It gets even worse when I pick out a particular thread. The lag time is amazingly slow. Even as I type this out the letters are behind my typing. I checked to see if there were any device conflicts and none were to be had. No viruses, the harddrive is defragged. Could it be my video card? But, then again, I have no problem typing Word documents. As I said, the problem becomes more pronounced the deeper I access a forum. Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.

Try running adaware and spybotSD. Those two should find all spyware on your system.

Sounds like anytime you have animated images you will get lag. Try this:

Once your webpage is loaded, click the STOP button. Now, scroll. If it's fine now, then you have found your culprit! To fix this, you should reinstall your video drivers and/or reinstall DirectX.

Let me know!
