YOu see, I bought this sword named the heart of "lead character"...and all it is is a long-sword +1 that protects lightly against cold damage...but isn't all that great. I am wondering...is there any real reason to have it? Will it grow in strenght as I level up? Does it have any real value? Are any of you using it? I want to get rid of it, to make room for some better stuff I have.
Suggestions?

Nope. It is just a trivia item. But I have read in the previous posts that in HoF mode, this version of the sword is actually a little more powerful. In either case, both of the versions of the sword will not get more powerful as your party progresses towards higher levels.

This weapon is not good, but in HOF, it is very good.

You should try the Armaggedon blade of the Tester....lol talk about woop some butt!! Strikes for some such outragous amount like 38-420 hit points a whack.
That and Armaggedon Chain Mail of the Tester. Gonna take one character through the game in Heart of Fury Mode, using the sword and the armour.

I am playing a regular party also. With out all the super powered goodies.
But when I git pissed at the game I enjoy a little payback,so I load in my super man and just kill every critter in sight... then I go back to my regular party again, once I`ve blown off some steam. Helps me keep the frustration level down a bit.

Actually, the Heart of CHARNAME +1 sword is not all that bad. Really, think about it. Getting a +1 longsword for a level 1 PC is pretty decent. Sure, pretty soon you'll have better weapons. But being able to get a +1 weapon this quickly is pretty cool.
BTW, the HOF version, the Golden Heart of CHARNAME, is an uber-sword! STATISTICS: Damage: 1d8 + 5 Attack Bonus: + 5 Enchantment: +5 Damage Type: Slashing Special: Strength: +2 Dexterity: +2 Hit Point Bonus: +25 Maximum Hit Points Constant Effect: Freedom of Movement while equipped Constant Effect: Haste while equipped Weight: 1 lb. Feat Requirement: Martial Weapon, Large Sword Type: One-handed [ 10-14-2002, 03:35 PM: Message edited by: Magness ] |
