I've got something I have to ask. When you go into a thread that is either

a)new to you and with many replies or
b)one you've been in before, but has attained many new replies since your last visit,

do you

a)read the first and/or newest post, then reply or
b)take the time to read all responses and then reply

It's just something I've noticed.

I try to read them all, but when it gets up in the hundreds that I missed, I just skim them

Thanks Stormy. Many replies, at the absolute most, would be 50. But on average, I'd say around 10. I'd probably fall asleep, or avoid the topic altogether, if I had to read that many

Well that was nice. We had a big power surge and were without electricity for about half an hour. Doesn't seem like a long time, but my mom and I didnt feel like waiting so we took the back way into town and got some starbucks and sat at Chile's to watch the Charger/Dolphin game. Man do the Chargers suck

Now it seems we're having random poweroutages. Seems like it'll be good for a few hours and the kick off for a few hours

Well the smokes gotten real bad here. Just covering the area like a blanket. It's scarey, i mean if a fire comes we won't even be able to see it

But i think the fires aren't going to come this way anymore. And apparently its suspected that some indians behind a casino who were having a bonfire (during the santa anna winds!) is what started this fire

Question Mark

i forgot to post some good news yesterday.....

my older kitty, dexter, has been sick. the vets all think it is a hyperactive thyroid or diabetes. unfortunately because we are in the middle of replacing a car we don't have the $$$ to even get the blood test done ($100.) so i called the shelter we got the kitten from, to see if they could help. once i stated my question she went into how they have 6 animals waiting for major surgery, one of which would cost upwards of $2000. she then suggested that i could volunteer and work off the balance. i started crying, i told her i was 7 months pregnant and have a 14 month old at home, there is no way i could do it, besides driving to the maryland border so often is not in our budget either.

less than a half hour later she called back. someone is willing to donate $200-$300 for my dexter as long as we can make payments! my kitty is going to get hlep as soon as i can take him down there! which will be next week cause we're getting the car on friday! i am so happy! i am just ecstatic with joy. i love my dexter and i wihs we could just take care of it, but it is so hard with a broken car, and a baby on the way, and the fact that nathan is underpaid as it is.

anyway he looks to have lost quite a bit of weight, and we're not sure if his fur has been falling out from fleas or being sick, so this should help, i can't wait!
