Just finished readung the Riftwar saga (Magician, Silverthorn, A Darkness at Sethanon) by Raymond Feist, and I want to continue reading his books. The problem is, I don't know where to start. It seems that The King's Buccaneer is the right book to read next, am I right? Is there some chronology to his books?

Yes, I do believe that The King's Buccaneer is the next in line. After that comes the Krondor series (though they add little to the story, so you might as well skip them) followed by the Serpentwar Saga. Though you may want to read the 'Empire' books first.
Edit: Also, the 'legends of the Riftwar' books also take place during the Rift war. Even though they aren't really all that good, they are fun to read while waiting for the next 'conclave' book. [ 01-24-2004, 10:57 AM: Message edited by: Dreamer128 ] |

Alrighty, thanks.
What is the Serpentwar Saga about? Sounds like it has something to do with the Pantathian to do, but how is it connected to the Riftwar? Also, the Empire books are about Tsuranuanni? Before or after the Riftwar? |

Yes, the Empire books are about the Tsuranuanni. They take place during the Riftwar. Unlike the Krondor books, they are really well written. The Serpentwar saga takes place a generation after the Riftwar. They have little to do with each other. Some of the old characters make a come-back, but don't dominate the story. The new characters (fortunately) are a bit less uber then Pug and Tomas.

Hey, thanks for all help.
Would this be a good order to read the books? -Riftwar series -The King's Buccaneer -Krondor series -Empire series -Serpentwar series EDIT]Oh, and what about 'Prince of the Blood'? I was looking through some online shops and saw that title as well. Is that a book that should be read after the Riftwar, before the Buccaneer? Ok.. I checked it out and the Riftwar books come in the following order:
Riftwar Magician (1982) 1. Magician: Apprentice (1982) 2. Magician: Master (1982) 3. Silverthorn (1985) 4. A Darkness at Sethanon (1985) 5. Prince of the Blood (1989) 6. The King's Buccaneer (1989) The Empire books aren't really related to the other series. So it might be a good idea to read them in the following order: Riftwar -> Serpent war -> Conclave of Shadows. And read the Empire trilogy afterwards. Or, if you have alot of time and money (or want to read everything in the proper order). Riftwar -> Empire -> Legends of the Riftwar -> Krondor -> Serpent war -> Conclave of Shadows. For more information on the various series, visit http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/au...nd_E_Feist.htm .
