Re: Looks like Australia is #$#ed
Me - I am just amazed that I remembered my password after all those months .
Saying Hi to Aelia, Memsie, Wellard, Johnny, Dave the Quack, Lanesra, Lanesras brother, Lanesra's dog, Lanesra's Salamander and anyone else I missed out. Sounds like a great cartoon. And while I agree that unions have a role and are needed in the workplace, I am headed towards a Christmas of strike duty. They have been good for Kevin 07 leading up to the election, but have now walked out on starting negotiations on a new EBA. Hey Lanesra - when I went to vote I was wearing the Arsenal jumper I bought last time I was over there (the special year maroon one). I walked up to the polling booth and a guy came up to greet me in his KEVIN 07 T shirt. He took one look at the big "O2" logo on the front of the kit and scowled all grumpily saying "no point wasting one of these on you - it's evident who you will be voting for" . Talk about jumping to conclusions (even though he turned out to be right). Gave me quite a chuckle.

Re: Looks like Australia is #$#ed
LOL they're all coming out of the woodwork now!
Obviously Iraq and Kyoto were the two main things, but I guess to Dave's point I reckon Lil Johnny was just too long in the job. |

I really think people were just bored with Howard and felt he was out of touch with the average Australian citizen.

Re: Looks like Australia is #$#ed
LOL - why give the guild leader his stuff when he could instead distribute the largesse amongst the lower ranks .
Enough off topic - looks like it might be strike duty over eh coming weekend. Talk about moving fast.

Re: Looks like Australia is #$#ed
Deeply involved in the A380 project at the moment and have heard nothing but rumors. What is true is that our pay claim began this time last year and the company was not interested in signing it. Now of course Howard is gone and the IR laws are due for change all of a sudden management is forcing the issue... strange that
