Hey, possible spoilers:
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . OK, I haven't played BG1 in AGES and this weekend, I figured I do it again. Make a char in BG1 and then go with it all the way to the ToB end, as I usually do. More fun this way, heh... Anyway, I am done and about with Nashkel and since I had a VERY small party (me and Imoen only), we levelled up quite nicely. So I figured I go to Durlag's Tower after the Nashkel. Well, done and done, I now reached the "end", so to say, but here I bumped into the problem I do not recall from the past: Namely, I have done and cleared all of the tower save the demon. So I went to the door, which leads to the demon, and there's this secret wall before it. I have detected the passage, however the wall can't be opened? Islanne's ghost offers only the passage out, Durlag's ghost doesn't do anything at all anymore, i.e. I can't speak to him, he doesn't respond. I have 'met' the statues, 3 times I think, and each time answered correctly. But the wall is still closed? Anyone can tell what I must do to get it open? Maybe I missed something, last time I tried BG1 was well over 2 years back. I think I have all the runes on me as well, I threw away only the fake ones and kept the real ones. So, spoil me, let me know what I missed [img]smile.gif[/img]

I don't remember the Tower too well, but just to make it sure: you do have the patch installed?

Yes, I have all the needed patches installed, and also all Baldurdash fixes and such.
I don't recall whether in the past the Durlag's ghost opened the wall, or some rune/something, or the statuette opened the wall. If statuette opens it, then how can I meet him again? I have seen him 3 times: once through the room with the spiders, where the hole is, then through that slimy maze and to the throne, and finally through the 'bed' in the room with rune carpet. Would want to be over with with that tower and move on. If something big is missing, maybe someone knows the CLUAConsole command to force some NPC to next chat step or something? Of course, I would prefer to go through the way it was meant to be done [img]smile.gif[/img]

Forget about "spoiling" me, can't do that - I was through this game after 7 days from it's release (that incl. the delivery time it took for me to get) and been through the game more times then the years many have lived on this planet heheh.. Simply haven't played it in ages and sort of forgot, some quick hint would be neat, before I just place my chars on other side of the wall. But I'd love to do it "officially", to get that wall outta the way

After getting though the 'compass'-room three times, Durlag should walk up to the door (cut-scene) and open it.
I've also had that bug once - and had to leave the Tower (cellar?) without confronting the Demonknight I don't know why the cut-scene didn't start.

I see.. I did recall that he sort of was the one who opened, but he's standing near the stairs still, which led to that area of the tower. I spoke to him couple of times before, but he started to repeat himself, so I left him alone.
Now he still stands there and when I try to talk to him, he makes his hissy noise but doesn't do anything - no reply, no nothing. I have not missed a single part of the tower, I also have done all the 'quests' there were.. Is there any CLUAConsole code to push his "status" further, i.e. like forcing a new dialogue for NPC's in BG2? Or if not, anyone knows offhand his code, so that I could try to summon him near the wall, maybe he then will do his trick...

Got it "fixed". Loaded the game and decided to speak to Durlag's ghost once more, before going happy with CLUAConsole, and this time he spoke to me and opened the wall as well. Don't know why he didn't before.. Anyways, demonknight went down like a wet papersack and the tower is now cleansed. Time to move on.
