This is a straightforward question but I'm sure there's no straightforward answer

Anyway, here goes...

Taxes collected are rechannelled for government expenditure. So, how would you like to see these spent?

Please choose the key area of your choice.

[Note: I am leaving out defence/security, since that is a critical area for most countries in the first place.]

Btw, if you'd care to elaborate on your choice, I'd be delighted to hear your views

I voted education, of course. Only through education and fostering the desire to make your own life, as well as the lives of those around you, better can the world be made a better place.

Was that too Pollyanna-ish? Oh, well. It's true, in any event.

Healthcare. You never know when it's your turn or your families turn to need it.

Education - here in NZ the teachers are striking continuously, and have been since last year, due the "pay rise" which is less than the inflation rate, so they are in fact accepting a pay cut. The government is refusing to pay them more, despite them having taken pay cuts in recent years and working harder on a new curriculum. Also they do extra-curricular activites without extra pay for it.

I chose education, but I'd prefer more stuff to be taught than just "skills".... Some people think in a seriously screwed up way, it'd have to be an education in not being racist or sexist as well.... Impossible as it might be.

Education all the way... and incentives for the population to work in their home country after they finish school, no more "brain drain" in other words

You can always educate yourself. Can you always heal yourself?

Not if you're not educated on how to do it
