The big thing why enterprise is so much MORE entertaining than the previous sseries from ST is that Enterprise is the second to implement a BIG STORY throughout ALL their shows. Season three proves this point. DS9 started this with the dominion war, which was quite interesting. There was no connection between different episodes in Voyager, NG or OS, that made it quite like a soap opera, especially voyager, which made me vomit. The crew's personal trouble is not interesting, I'll go watch the OC for that.

I prefer the new generation. I quite like Captain Picard. I think he is the best captain in Star Trek series.

btw, what's the name of the movie where captain picard becomes one of the borg?

He becomes Locutus in a double episode, The Best Of Both Worlds. The movie he remembers becoming Borg is called First Contact. Just about the best Star Trek movie ever.

Wrath of Khan is the best, Generations is second on my list, and First Contact wasn't bad, unlike many of the other trek movies (notably insurrection, and nemesis).

I agree that Wrath of Khan was awesome. But 'Undiscoved country' and 'First Contact' were also excellent movies. Nemesis was probably the worst Star Trek movie to date.

Actually the actor is from the US of A, he merely speaks proper english, and of course being unused to it, most american's assume it's british english.

I loved the episode where Q sent a bunch of the crew to a planet and dressed up their enemies as napoleonic soldiers, and data was explaining to Picard that they were dressed in the uniforms of an obscure earth nation known as France. (forgetting of course the Jean Luc was french)

2nd or 3rd Next Gen episode ever that was wasn't it?

I rather enjoyed Nemesis actually, never understood why it did so badly. My favourite would be Wrath of Khan and Undiscovered Country. First Contact was one of the best and I thought Insurrection was a nice 'ethical' one in true Star Trek fashion. Just a shame about the cheese!

He's English, born in Yorkshire to be precise...

One of the great British thespians on a par with the likes of Dame Judi Dench IMO.
