You are still suggesting that all religions can go on alongside each other without dispute. Not all religions can be correct! They are not compatible. Wars have been fought with different religions trying to wipe out each other. How can you possibly say that religion has no part in their cause??? Furthermore, how would there ever be world peace, without the one religion taking over the world???

Well, tolerance has always been a rather useful virtue in that respect.

Most Religions seek to promote peace, and the dominance of human choice above animal instinct.

As far as world peace goes, all it takes is tolerance, respect and COMPROMISE, not singular theological belief. One world religion would be a frightening possibility.

Living alongside each other without physical conflict, does not mean all are right. How could it? It simply means the practitioners, while not agreeing, AGREE TO DISAGREE. If I and my many other Christian friends, can have friends who are Jews, Buddhists, New Agers and Muslims cannot anyone?

It's not hard. It only breaks down when other people decide to use peoples beliefs as a means of manipulating them into a course of action.

In that regard the religious who are manipulated are victims, not perpetrators.

But thus is no different to "workers of the world" being manipulated, or anyone else.

Indeed, you can't just push people into a new set of beliefs, and I think any religion trying to dominate would find itself strongly resisted, all it needs is some common respect for others beliefs.

Which conflicts are you referring to? Please give solid examples, not grey generalisations.
