Flex I should have known you were an "Axis & Allies" fan, got to love Avalon Hill

One of the best weapons the allies had in WWII was Hitler's stupidity, if the Nazi's had anything other then a Lunatic running the show, we wouldn't have had a cold war between the west and Commies, it would had been between the US and Greater Germany(all of Europe)

Who exactly was 'coming to kill him'?
I think he was insane way before the last few months of his life.
I'm sure you are fully aware of his insomnia, and anxiety attacks. Along with a condition that lead to Cerebral Hemorrhage.

I hope you're kidding. Remember those guys, "The Allies," who were outside of Germany, and were going to capture him and execute him?

Yessir. I fail to see the point?

Right, all of those Allies that "Were outside of Germany". Genau! No, they wanted him very much alive! You are aware of the Nurenberg trials?

His pre-conditions. You do understand even his personal staff thought him dead on more than one occassion due to his medical conditions.

I play on average 4-5 games a week myself. Wish I had people around to play the board game version with, though.

I wasn't asking for your personal evaluation of moral relativism, I was asking why the opinions of others would serve as a debating device against a moral relativist. Nevertheless, your opinion has been noted

They couldn't even take John Wilkes Booth alive.

I hear what you are saying Link, but the comparison still doesn't work. Hitler had all those powers you speak of, but Bush simply does not. Bush cannot act without consequence and is not the ultimate word on the US. Yes he is powerful, but he isn't the sole word on US internal and external policies.

Point taken. Bush may have to answer to the Senate, Bush may not have the allpowerful authority Hitler may have had, but saying that there's a restraint in Bush's ability to make decisions that are way beyond his league does not mean that both leaders were at the top of the food chain in their country. The fact that they have to 'answer' to someone or some political organ does not take away that position, or that ability to govern. In the end, Bush is able enough to work around the restraint anyway.
While the comparison Bush - Hitler may not be as drastic as my earlier post may have led to believe, I sincerely think the comparison to be valid.

As much as I'd like to believe that Bush has no actual power due to his lack of charisma, modern day politics doesn't work quite that way, I believe. Insert charisma, and the machine will shine a bit more, productivity may rise due to well oiled parts, but the amount of power coming from the machine doesn't change one bit (I just have to be the member with the weirdest metaphors )

I may be derailing the topic a bit by going from Hitler to Bush to my objections to the American political system, but it was just something I had to say.
Breaking out that huge board and spending 30 minutes placing hundreds of pieces doesn't sound like fun to most people, but I always smile the entire time. It is hard to play in RL though because it can take so long.

I used to play online all the time when Spring1942 was the big ladder.

You play on The Zone, Timber? What's your handle there?
Ah the memories you bring back. We would set the board on Friday night, and play until??? Then start again first thing after Saturday breakfast, and hopefully be finished by dinner Sunday.

I tried the PC version once, but the AI was incomprehensible of my strategy, ending at round 10 with Tiger tanks setting in both Moscow, and Washington.
