If your having those troubles multitasking then i would suspect that you have something wrong with your system, and would recomend a reinstall of the os.
I would, too, except that my problems started right when I got the machine, with only ME installed !

And, about Dell, well - I am working for HP, in the Division where they manufacture the PCs, and well, I have bought a Dell, and so did most of my HP colleagues ...

I have a funny feeling of deja-vu - Memnoch, I just answered your thread on the same subject over at Mithril Hall (Lady Nightshade's board for those who don't know). You are just gloating all over the net!!

Sounds a really good system, hope you enjoy it!

ME has a lot of bugs they say,
Win2K is for office use and may not be that compatible with games
Win 98 is still the widely used and most compatible or stable...

Sounds like a great system Memnoch. just one thing though. You skipped on the RAM. Man that system would have been absolutely zooming with 128 more mb JMHO

It would have cost an extra $400 (US$200) for the RAM, so I'll add it in later (from another shop that sells it for $250) if I find it too slow. I'm sure I'll find it an improvement over my Pentium Celeron 366Mhz IBM Thinkpad with 32Mb of RAM.

Memnoch my friend, why didn't u say so? In that case I forgive u for blatantly braggin about your new setup and trying to make everyone else's systems feel inadequate.
