I haven't PM'd him so can't say for sure, but from his words and the words of others, I don't think comments like "stay safe" and "take good care of yourself" and "farewell" are really relevant

FWIW, you have always been very appreciated here, Animal, and always made me laugh.
Good journey, my friend. You will be missed. [ 02-19-2005, 04:48 PM: Message edited by: Lady Sedai ] |

Goodbye, Mark. I say that and it brings tears, but I know what you're going through and I am going to miss you more than you'd imagine. It's been good and I enjoyed our talks and Undermountain journeys very much, as did Jim. You're a very special person and leave a bigger legacy with us than you can know.
Ever since that night in Undermountain a few weeks ago, when we talked, I've thought more on life and what we make of it. I will never take things for granted quite the way I used to. Looking at my husband, I think "silly arguments are wasted time" so much more often now, thanks to you. You will NEVER be forgotten. Tell your daughter that, please. She should know how much your presence enhanced our forum and the Undermountain. How much you were valued by some of us as a friend, even though a long distance one. Goodbye and God Bless. Mark,
I wish I could think of something pithy or brilliant or wise to say, but knowing what I know it hurts too bad to try and think. I feel truly priveleged to have known you and will miss you when you are gone. Amber and I have enjoyed every roleplay session in the Undermountain with the Hollof brothers and the Dragonlord, and we will miss you there too... Dont know what else to say, except to remind you that there are no destinations, only different stages in the journey of life. Take care my friend, we'll be seeing you. Jim

As one very wise person has said to me, those that Animal felt had to know, already know and now he's asked for those friends who know him well enough to care and want to be in touch, to pm him soon. And as he leaves us, he's given some very good advice to all of us- don't take life for granted. A very important and often ignored bit of wisdom. I will try to remember it each and every day.

I do not know you personally, but from what I know of you from the others, you will be missed in Ironworks and elsewhere. Some may say that I am bitterly optimistic, but until I am wrong, I am going to have faith that things can turn out better.
I wish you all the best, Animal. |

I know we've posted on a couple of things in GD, Animal, and even there, I don't know you as well as others do. Still, you will be missed.
Godspeed, and peace to you and your family. May the future bring what is needed, and may all be strong when needed. Peace. *B* Minister, etc. (ret.) |
