I had something called "infrared" installed onto my computer without knowing about it, and now I can't get rid of it.

Problem is, I can't access the internet from home, either.

Does anybody know about this program? It looks like it's from microsoft and says it is, but I'm not sure how to find out.

Thanks everybody, I need the help!

Are you using a laptop?
Infrared is "Communication" hardware, much like Wireless technology, except no where near as good and the devices using it must be in line of sight.
You can disable it in your Control panel...Well at least I think you can

Yeah, I disabled it, but I can't delete it.

I do not have a laptop.

Yeah, I dont think you can delete it unfortunantly, but unless you have it activated, it shouldnt take up any RAM
