I've noticed over the past week or so that IW has been taking longer and longer to load, it will slow down for extended periods, then resume normal speed for a short time. Is this a sign the some forums need archived, a server issue, or just insanity on my part (yes it happens at home or work)

I have noticed a slowdown actually too. Nothing huge but I did find myself pinging a few times to check my ISP speeds. It occurs when browsing or posting.

I haven't noticed it. My connection times seem to be same as usual here.

Nothing different in the logs and timers.. Hmm, maybe its when you post, the delay in it completing? If so, that may be the 35,000 posts.. when it hits around 40,000 it does slow down a tiny bit, and I usually archive posts to trim it to 25,000 or so.
Let me know exactly where its slower.. PS: AT&T is having backbone issues, so maybe that is it? Check your trace route to www.ironworksforum.com and see.

I too get slowdowns when I try to post sometimes. I'll write a post, submit it, and it will hang there. I usually open up a new IW page and keep browsing in that one while my post process.
It doesn't happens all the time, I don't know what does it. [ 02-09-2006, 04:22 PM: Message edited by: Luvian ]
