I found a broken sword at the very beginning of the game and have been carrying it around ever since. What the hell am I supposed to do with it as it is taking up valuabe space. Ive also found a Halbard sheaf, whats it for? Also is there a way of holding more things??

Broken sword - just a reminder from previous game (BG1) - throw it out.
POSSIBLE SPOILER: | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | halberd shaft - keep it, you'll find the blade on Sahuagin Prince (pickpocket of kill him), then Cromwell (dwarf at the docks) will be able to make Halberd+4 for you. To hold more things, later in the game you'l find bag of holding which can hold a lot of items |

I have several caches of "good stuff" that I might need later in the game. Any chest or area that lights up blue will work, but make sure you can get back to it easily. I use the chest on the right wall of the Copper Coronet a lot. If you get a stronghold you might use a chest, shelf, or drawer there. Any container seems to have infinite capacity. No one will steal the stuff. The PC seems to be the only raging kleptomaniac around

most of the stuff your talking about is found throughout the game and allows you to go to a dwarf called Cromwell, who forges rather powerful weaponry from them. The sword your on about is probably the equaliser, which is a pretty neat weapon. You'll find the rest of it in the Underark and lizard city. |
