NY released all state workers and evacuated buildings. We are coping as best we can with the events of today. The evacuation of buildings was partly for safety and partly to let people be free to help with cleanup/rescue efforts. Many emergency personnel do it part time or on a voluntary basis.

Thank you MagiK. I'm near the capitol of the State about 3 hrs north of NYC.
We are near an airport and I just heard local news say one of the hijacked planes that hit the Trade Center flew over us and made it's course correction here. So many little bits of trivia, so many stories.. there will be book after book put together after this. So many horror stories, so many tales of heroism and courage. I am sorry to live in 'interesting times'. I hope we all can earn from this and realize it's life that matters and that we have more in common than we might think.
