I am offered a geForce2 with 64 mb of RAM, for $50. Should I spend the extra $ for a GeForce 3 or 4?

A Geforce2 GTS-V-64mb ddr is working well for me. Buy it and get to playing mister! And ten push-ups for delaying!

$150 will net you a low end Geo4 Ti4200 (don't get the crap Geo4 MX card that's just a dressed up Geo2). Depends on how you want to budget: cheap card now, or more expensive card that'll hold off the next upgrade longer.

LIke zlander said. DO you get a card that will get you 'above the water' for now or one that will still be good 1 year from now. Depends on your budget, and what your interested in playing. You don't have to go to a super high end card to get something that will last awhile. For $100 or so the GF3Ti 200 is a good buy. About the lowest DX8 card out. the GF4 4200 is the best bang for the buck IMO, and will be a good card some time.

But once again all those people suggesting GF3, GF4 remember that the card will only work if the rest of the system is good enough. That includes CPU, bus, motherboard, slots etc. I would buy a GF3/4 but neither my motherboard nor processor would handle it.
