I believe it's possible for you to use your characters from the original save game w/out beating the game. Just export your characters as IWD1, IWD2, IWD3 and so on until the 6, if you used 6, characters have been exported. This is the way the game saves your 6 chars after beating the game, maybe the game has locked this but it might be possible, haven't been able to try it, uninstalled it for BG 1, in wait for HoW. good luck

Thank you, but since I have already started, I think I should work on it this way. Besides,(I cheated and made my party really good, and now that I am repentant, I would like to beat the expansion with as little help as possible.
