Can't say I think it's funny at all, but some people apparently like their humour this way.

btw Did anyone notice that of all the posters responding to this so far, only the Americans thought it was funny?

Apparently some people do. Actually some of us like our humor lots of different ways. There are several Americans in this forum I know who wouldn't think this was funny though.

The humor is less less an issue of nationality than it is an issue of politics. Did anyone notice those who didn't like this are the anti-war, anti-bush, anti-anti folks? *kidding*

Uh, no. There were people of different nationalities present in the WTC. And no one here doesn't mourn them, I think

Anyway, back on topic, people. It IS just a joke, even if you don't like it!

well, i though it was quite funny, and obviously not to be taken seriously. i mean, i have also seen humor regarding the wtc and 9/11 (probably made by americans) that leaned a bit on the tasteless side. there is nothing you can do against humor, and it is a good thing. without it life would be really boring, wouldnt it? I know Mel, but my point (and I do have one, as Ellen Degeneres would say) is that we had the most. I'm surely not a Europe-basher, at all, I just wanted to point out that we were very angry at Osama, that's why we laugh at jokes like this.

Well, personally I don't give a d*mn about who "lost the most". An innocent human life is an innocent human life to me, and I wouldn't have cried any more on 11 September if more of my own countrymen died there. I mourned the brutal loss of innocent people, regardless of where they were born.

I couldn't agree more.

That's very sweet, Melusine. I believe you. I was just trying to explain why we laughed. I don't impugn yours or anyone else's sympathy.
