See, I was fighting Malavon when one of his little henchmen got nailed by an area spell and they all turned against me. After that, it was like playing Whack-a-Mole, with one hit each. I realize they were there against their will, but the first guy was really just a casualty of battle. If they hadn't turned against me, I would have left them alone.

The problem for me is that my ranger has fallen, and I only now realized it in HOW. I suppose I don't really care at this point, but still.

Anything I can do at this point?

I'm pretty sure ZFR has got it right. Once fallen, you cannot get up.

How much difference has it made to your game, out of curiosity?

You probably should have just taken the pitiful hits instead of systematically slaughtering all the slaves. Too late now.

It hasn't made any difference in my game, so far as I can tell. I was looking up the number of attacks per round when I noticed that it said "Fallen Ranger/Cleric." Fallen? What did I do?

I searched the forum and found it was based on reputation falling low. The only bad thing I could recall doing is nailing the little guys in Malavon's chamber. It kind of bugs me, though, seeing how all I've done in recent months is free slaves, restore gardens, bring families back together and be an all around good guy.

Aside from the embarassing Fallen status, does that mean I'm just a fighter? I haven't faced many skeletons since that time, so I don't think I've lost much by losing the racial enemy bonus. I never used stealth or charm animals (what does that do, anyway), so it's been no problem.

yes youre pretty much a fighter without being able to get more than two ** in weapon proficiencies. the biggest ability that you lose is being able to cast spells.

Charm animals allows you to essentially cast "Charm Person or Animal" only on animals. It's not very useful, as about the only places to use it in the main game are on wolves and winter wolves. I tried it on the bears and jackals in TotL, but it didn't work too well.
