Yay! I saw The Two Towers today. It was totally cool, even if I did want to choke someone for some of those scenes. It does really make me want to see what they'll do for the big battle at Minas Tirith.

Morning everybody! And how is everybody this fine chilly day?

We got just enough snow to call it a white Christmas...but it was pretty much gone by lunch time. Just got an email from Budha's uncle---they were supposed to come up Xmas day but had 12" of snow overnight and so didn't make it. Reckon they're coming up today after lunch. Thought we'd be home! Geesh! I think they forgot that we're not all retired like them! But that's ok. Budha's uncle is such a sweetie that there's no way to be upset with him....

Afternoon everyone.
I am proud(?) to announce that so far it's been a very non-white christmas here, with not even the faintest traces of snow.
Well, that's normal here I suppose, if we do get snow it's usually closer to January.

LOL. You do know the day has nothing to do with the sport, right?

O, yes, no Anglophile could be ignorant of the Brit tradition of putting little sums in boxes for the postman, etc. Just tryin' to interject a liddle humor. Good morning, all. Fine, clear, cool morning, here. Dry, too, thank God.

I know that in the Carribean it's called Boxing Day because the day after Christmas the slave owners would box up the presents they did not want and give them to their slaves. Hmmmm.... must look into this a bit over the weekend.

Hi all, Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas day. Colleen met my parents, and my sister and her family in PA. but on the drive home Christmas night, I crashed Colleens Jeep Grand Cherokee into a guardrail

The NE part of the US, got hit with a heavy snow storm and the plows were not keeping up with the task...hit a patch of slush, went into a spin and nailed the guardrail at 40 miles per. All I can say is that Im glad we were in her "evil gas guzzeling" SUV. We bounced off the rail back into the lane of traffic and continued on our way to the nearest rest stop where I tied the head lights back onto the frame (the front was smashed) and we finished the 200 mile trip home. If we had been in my car we would have been crushed.

I am a new believer in sturdy strong big American Made vehicles now.

On a side note: I got a Sterling Silver Celtic "friendship" ring and an X-box for christmas....
