Yes Donut, you're quite correct.
I was discussing this in the pub last night with someone who said that a friend of a friend of a friend's aunt's stepsister was having a very similar problem with a demon, who had taken up residence in her house and would wake her to demand sexual favours in the middle of the night. The only thing that worked to keep him at bay of a night was to sleep in the metal bathtub, so I think you may be on to something with the foil.

That silver foil is a bit of a hard item to get for the regular Joe off the street. In OZ I can't get it at all, on accout if the high purity required for spiritual reflection. I think we got our last batch from a place over in the US - Louisiana - "Argent Articles" was the name of the place. I'll see if I still have their card - they may have a web address by now.

has anyone died in the woods you said are near your house? (if i understood correctly)
with the voices i usually find shouting at the voices in my head works
also you could try an exorsism (s/p) even if its not a ghost or other paranormal force they usually make people feel better about themselves (safer i mean).

I think that at a pinch he will get away with using ordinary cooking foil but he may need two layers.

One other thought SomeGuy, do you have any metal coat hangers in your room? These amplify paranormal signals. You should replace them with wooden ones.

ALUMINIUM FOIL (sorry -Aluminum for our US friends) - are you kidding - I work in the industry and I know what goes in that. Besides, we are talking way to low a molecular weight, the wrong range of atomic number, and a completely different valence. Sheesh - now if you'd said a double layer of copper that might just have worked - valence of +1 (check) - Atomic numbers and molecular weight are much lighter, but the double layer takes that into account - more importantly we are talking the same grouping (ie 1b) in the transition elements.

Phah - Aluminium - how are you going to protect him with that - why don't you just paint a huge target on him with a caption saying HAUNT ME.

Davros -BIG DEAL, so you work in the industry well let me tell you I live in the real world and I have an aluminium foil hat consisting of just two (yes two) layers of foil which completely covers my cranium. I wear it to bed every night and I have NEVER been visited by paranormal spirits.

Just because you are a chemical engineer doesn't mean that you understand the paranormal!!

HUH - what strange brand of logic do you operate on Donut - myth number 1 - "Donut wears his double foil hat to bed every night and has never been bothered by the paranormal" - therefore it is the aforementioned double foil hat that protects him from visitations. What gibber balderdash and piffle - I have rarely heard such utter wooly headed thinking in all my years.

Your so called protection could be coming from any of the other well known holistic barriers which as anyone learned will recall, number a total of 13. When you can furnish competent evidence that your protection is not being derived from any of the 13 strictures (and don't forget we have only managed to discard the Argent Helmet thus far), then and only then will I admit the possibility of a 14th paranormal protection. Really, such presumption as yours flies in the face of all right minded thinking.
