Well, I finally saw Blade II, and all is good in the world. I very much enjoyed the first one when it came out, and in fact own it on DVD. So when I found out that Guillermo del Toro was going to direct the sequel, I got somewhat excited!

The movie doesn't really try to make much sense, and in fact often border's on the "oh come one, you can't be serious" type scenarios. But this is also what makes the movie work on other levels. The action is almost non-stop, the effects are 90% great (sometimes the fighting becomes so fast, that it starts to look cartoonish), and the atmosphere is turned up a notch. There are quite a few surprises in store for the unsuspecting viewer along the way.

Blade II is definitely more violent and gory than the fist one, with some of the creature effects being straight out disgusting (and very cool), so only watch it if you've got a stomach for these sorts of things. I saw quite a few girlfriends, just covering their faces for most of the movie, while the guys just loved it!

But overall, it's an entertaining vampire romp, and I don't think it's going to be the last time we see Wesley Snipes gracing our screen as the Daywalker. I give it 7.5 out of 10.

Avi.

Can't wait to see this one, i enjoyed the first movie very much. Especially the slaughterhouseparty scene. Kinda reminded of of my own partying days.

I own the first one on DVD and i think it`s awesome! One of my favourite scenes was the Vampire Disco (That was the first time i heard New Order - Confusion. A kickass song )! I love the bad guy in Blade(Stephen Dorff, one of my favourite actors) too bad there`s another guy in Blade 2.
anyway, my bro and his friend went to see it and they said it was really cool. Even much better than 1. I really wanna see it !

They should make any lame excuses just to bring Dorff back
