Ok, this might get me laughed at, or might be met with stunned silence.
I was given Morrowind as a gift when it came out, but I never played it. There are two reasons. One I won't detail, but the other is that I was turned of by the butt-ugly faces available for characters. Recently I devided to give it a try again and I happened across a site that had some mods which I downloaded. The first was Better Bodies-- which is great because it installs itself. The second was called something like World of Faces. I haven't been able to use that one as it does not have an installer and has to be done manually, something I am not very good at. I tried doing it a couple of times, but have yet to make it work. Could somebody point me in the direction of a face mod that has a self-installer? Or alternately, could someone tell me in a very detailed manner how to install the one I downloaded? (And I mean really explain it like your talking to someone who knows nothing about this sort of thing at all (I have some experience doing this, but it hasen't helped me in this case)). Thanks a lot

I do not know the mod but in general:
(a) Most likely, you have got an .esp file and, perhaps, some graphic files. The .esp belongs to the 'data' (? sorry, I am now in my work and I haven't Morrowind here ) subdirectory. You can detect the right subdirectory easily - it contains another .esp files, which you have installed previously. If the mod contains graphic files then it should contain some readme where the files belong to. If it haven't then search subdirectories of 'data' for a directory with similar files and copy your files there. (b) After copying the files into Morrowind, start the game and click "data files". A table of .esp files will occur. You should see your mod there. Double click it and the file should become checked. Note: if you want not to play without the mod then do the same, double click again and the checkmark will wanish. The mod will be inactivated and will not load. And so on. Now start the game. Your mod will load into the game. Enjoy [ 09-29-2005, 03:40 AM: Message edited by: Radek ]

The folder is called "Data files" if I'm not mistaken.
I haven't tried World of Faces myself but I believe it merely changes the faces of 650 NPC's while keeping the older faces of the rest. Can anyone verify this? Anyway, for a face replacer mod I recommend Better Heads. It works well with Better Bodies and completely replaces the faces of most races, NPC's and player characters alike, with new and better heads. It doesn't change the Khajiit heads, though. Edit: I believe Better Heads comes with an auto-installer .exe file, but check out the Readme file just in case. [ 09-29-2005, 06:08 AM: Message edited by: Stratos ]

Speaking of mods...i was just looking if i could spot my old mods which i used in the days of playing Morrowind, but morrowindfiles.com doesn't seem to exist anymore. Since i was thinking of playing it one more time before Oblivion hits the stores, that kinda sucks. Especially the mod that gives the creeper trader in Caldera 100.000 cash per day. Does anyone know where i can get my hands on this mod ? I've tried searching the Morrowindsummit modarchives, but nothing came up. Not to mention all the residences i had all over the place.

Isn't there an .exe file in the Rar archive file, Arnabas?
