When i started the game i chose Valygar's portrait for my self...i tried out the real Valygar and he has a demented portrait...shouldn't the 2 portraits be the same or did they change it so its not confusing

Whattya think? Tee Hee. They do that with all of the NPC's. They all have a back up pic. ER... Which one was so demented? LOL

Well, it's highly unlikely you will find someone who looks exactly like you, that is a complete stranger (but it seems to happen in those Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen movies... ). The computer recognizes that you have one of the NPC portraits, and changes it to be certain you don't have two identical characters. I usually choose Keldorn's portrait when playing a Paladin, and the computer gives him the 'Bald-headed brute' portrait (first one on the BG1 list).

Yeah usually I just take a picture from outside of the game to eliminate that issue (the ironworks has a nice selection of portraits)
