I also love the guards in my Tavern, when they see monsters coming out of the well--"Tis your lives to waste!"

Heck, I've bought BG, BGII, and NWN twice each 'cause I wear 'em out. I've got the spare manuals to prove it.

Hey, I paid 50 bucks for the game and 40 for the expansion but I can't play them on my PC. I am using a CD/RW drive and don't have a CD-ROM drive. It can't even read my ORIGINAL NWN & SoU CDs... and I am really pissed at it. Somehow the 'CD-Protection' thingie, disallow me to install/play it in my CD/RW drive.. Grrr...

But very fortunatelly, I can get it to work on my laptop's DVD/CD-ROM drive.

Ilythiiri you might want to thing about getting a new CDROM drive. On www.pricewatch.com you can get a 56X one shipped to you for $18.93. Not to bad.

If you have a legit copy, and the secuROM protection gives you greif, the bug atari about it (the more people that complain the better, eventualy they will remove it for NWN) and install a no-cd crack.

Software companies are starting to go way overboard, I have been caught out by games that cant be played in a CDR before.

Granamere, thanks very much for your concern and offer. But unfortunately I don't live in US. I live in Australia, and the shipping rates are a bit on the high side. :embarrassed:

You might want to see if your cdrom has a patch. If it is a lite-on the site for the patch is http://www.liteonit.com.tw/ODD/engli...ex-english.htm
This is a patch for the BIOS on the CDROM burner itself. It might help if you have a lite-on burner.
