Help with PC Home Page Issue

Okay, one of those stupid third party websites decided to force itself into my machine to become the new homepage, when Explorer comes on. I wanted this removed, so I ran all the cleaners and deleted all the pieces to wipe it out. However, one of the changes that it made to my machine has not been undone. It locked the ability out for me to go into tools/options/general and change the homepage to what I want.

How do I open that option again to be able to assign homepages at my desire?

Search on the net for Spybot SD. It will take care of that.

on IE, open tools, go to internet options, it should give you the home page option first thing

Okay, let me be more specific. I have Adaware, and Spybot, and they have already cleaned out the trouble. That is what I meant by I ran all the cleaners.

I also said that the only thing that I cannot do is get the option open that allows me to enter in a URL in that field in the tools section. It is made so taht no buttons or information can be entered in that entire field. It is inaccessible.

Okay, so I am assuming that this is a registry issue, since the Homepage is locked out from being tampered with. That means that a thing is in there, telling the field to be closed. Anyone wanna venture so far as to brag that they know how to open the field?
