ok, I would uninstall kazaa, except that I already did that over a month ago. And I did run the adware online virus thing and it didn't detect anything unusual or virus-y on my hard drive... so is there a way to just delete the file anyway? Since Kazaa IS uninstalled and it's still on my puter? The weird thing about it is that where it's listing the location of the file on my hard drive isn't in the Program Files folder where Kazaa was installed, it's in my user folder (windows xp) in a 'local' folder that I can't see.

*confused*

By the way, thanks for all the advice already. It's greatly appreciated

A .DLL is a Dynamic Link Library.
This would be located in your registry.
You have two options:
1. Live with it. Because most programs that have a un-installer cannot remove themselves from the registry.
2. Run = regedit, go to search and search for that exact file name. delete, hit F3 and continue through the registry untill all accounts are removed.
****You should feel very weary of mucking in your registry*****
If you like to install / un-install programs on a regular basis you have another two options:

1. Learn how to muck with your registry
2. Get a quality un-install program that does remove hits from your registry.

The registry does not contian any files inside of it. It is basically a database. Altuough if the dll was registered to it it would have that information it it. Which might include the file location on your hard drive.

For the last time go to this link http://www.cexx.org/cydoor.htm it tells you were the files should be located. The reason you would not be able to see it is in my first post. Also you might want to click on Start > search > files and folders. Then search for the file just incase it is in a different location. It could be in system32 instead of system.

I don't use KaZaZ anymore. When you install KaZaA it installs some hidden spyware which records what you do on your computer. I believe it just records what web sites you go to but I don't trust it. As far as cd_clint.dll goes if you look hard enough some hackers have actually made a dumby cd_clint.dll which effectively nuters cydoor. You can use Adaware to get rid of most of the spyware KaZaA installs but KaZaA doesn't run without cydoor (which I think should be criminal but anyways) which is why they made the fake dll.
I think your virus program pointed it out as a risky file because of the increased risk you have of getting a virus when using KaZaA.

Use kazaa lite instead. I think it does install a neutered version of that .dll , but AFAICT its claim to be spyware free are genuine.

yeah, I think I'm gonna do the 'just live with it' option because I don't know crap about messing with the stuff mentioned in these replies. As long as it's not a problem, I can accept it popping up when I run virusscan. But thanks everyone for helping, and I did kinda learn some stuff too

My only problem with KaZaA Lite is it's illegal. Says so right when you install it. Of course so is using a fake cd_clint.dll but anyways.
I just did a simple internet search.
Here is a site you can find the fake cd_clint.dll. It tells you what to do to replace the old dll.
Here is the Adaware home page.
I myself really hate spyware. You install software which installs hidden programs it doesn't tell you about which are always running, hidden in the background, sucking up system resources. Some of the spyware starts up right at login. If you don't care then fine but to me it's like saying sure no problem I like having a slower computer which crashes more and downloads off the internet slower and I have no problem letting some company know exactly how much porn I download and to do with the info any way they want to!
You really should get Adaware and use it since even if you uninstall Kazaa the spyware will still be there. I myself found a real noticable improvement. A friend of mine with a much much (out of date) computer installed Kazaa and it sucked up so many resources his computer couldn't even play card games anymore.
