Well, at the risk of opening a can of worms, I was wondering what y'all thought of these things. I've watched 2 different documentaries on them. The first said that at least some of them must be the real article. In some cases people can't bring themselves to enter, even though they want to. The same is true for some animals. They would not enter and coward in fear.
There is one theory that suggests fairies. Amateur video shows lights flying over the field and then flying away at a high rate of speed.
The other documentary discounted them for the most part. Personally, I'd like to believe it's more than a prank (at least some of the time) 'cos these have been found for centuries.

Most likely: they're caused by some natural phenomina that we don't understand (yet). Well, some of them: alot (especially the absolutely-geometrically-perfect-in-every-detail ones) are likely whipped up in the GIMP, Photoshop, or similar in someone's over-abundant spare time.

The mayor of Houten, a small town near Utrecht doesn't want the UFO's to land in his cropfields anymore, so what did the man do.... that's right, he build a UFO landingstrip, complete with a platform where the aliens can dock their ship. At night it's an impressive sight with all the bright lights, i passed the platform a couple of times last week.

I dont buy the whole crop circles thing, I mean perhaps once and a while there will be a real unexplainable one but generally they are fakes.

Someone seen the movie by Mel Gibson " The Sign " ?

I say the crop circle was created by some bored people who have nothing better to do.

I would like to think that there is some form of alien life out there that uses our planets crops as signs for intergalatic space travel.
But sometimes it's just a vivid imagination gone wild.
