I thought the vampire-mage Tanova was a real challenge.
But I think the Twisted Rune as a real threat too. ------------------ Greetings Mortals. My Name Is Wah, Arch Lich Wah. |

If you anger him, Drizzt and his party can also be considered very powerful.

If you don't know the tactic, definitely the demi-lich Kangaxx.
However, if you do know the tactic, then it would be either the red dragon Firkraag or the black dragon Nizidramanii'yt. ------------------ Long live H22A1!!!!! |

The Guarded compound is a hard fight considering it's really near the start of the game.

Seriously, though I've not fought either - Kangaxx or Firkraag must be popular answers. The one I had most problems with was the group guarding Celestial Fury. But like most of the others technique and experience win through. |

I would say Twisted Rune, for a mutiple monster battle
However, the most powerful single monster battle is Kangaxx. (or maybe that Adamitine Golem, if you don't know what you're doing). ------------------ Larry, a Loyal Guardian of the OHF [This message has been edited by Larry_OHF (edited 05-17-2001).] |

Well, there is only one creature I have not been able to take out and that's the demi-lich. So, I would have to say it. Some fights were tougher than others, but I could get everything else.
