Can Ctrl+q'ed Beholders use their abilities? Can the Dragons cast spells? Is Irenicus any good? If you ctrl+q an enemy you were supposed to kill, do they count as killed?

No they dont count as killed. Alot of enemys cant be forced to use their abilitys(dragons cant be forced to used dragon breath) you just have to let their ai take over and they will eventually use their abilitys. John doesnt have ANY spells in his spellbooks when you control q him.
