Emotionally involved in a game ?

Tifa and Cloud don't end up together, if they were together would Cloud be rambling about searching for Aeris in the Promised Land if they were? I think not, he'd be satisfied so stay with his Tifa.

And what connection does Aeris have with Cloud? That she tried to hit on him five minutes after they met? "If you're my bodyguard I'll go on a date with you!" Sheesh, annoying woman. I'd have let Shinra capture her right away.

It was pretty amusing when she got Cloud to dress up as a woman, though, I have to admit that

FF7 was great, they just didn't know who to make main characters and who to make less important characters. They should've put Aeris, Barret and Red as less important characters, made Rufus a partymember, made Vincent the main character and made Yuffie more important. Oh and they shouldn't have forced you to drag Cloud along whereever you went. By the end of the game he was severely getting on my nerves.

Actually, I LIKED Red (Nanaki). But yeah, more Yuffie would have been cool, too.

any body ever played the 1st blair witch game the music alone has the hairs on the back of my neck stuck up the game is far better than the film at makeing me jump and makes me jump through the roof every time something jumps out at me which i think counts as emotinal envolvement

Remember Neb Aeris had to be an Important character because she was an Ancient although I do argree about Red XIII. I had Barret in my team he rocked because of his ranged weapon it really was a choice between him and Vincent who both used ranged weapons in the end I chose Barret because well he was with Cloud since the very start of the game and I'd grown attached to him.

Nanaki is kinda cool.... But his physical attack looks laughable. What does he do? Jump and spin in the air at his foes? Please. And out of battles he looks like an ugly red puppy, which makes it seem kinda funny when he gets all serious because he looks like a cute red little fluffball.... Heheheh....

Sephiroth was a reasonably cool villain, but Kefka from FF6 beat him when it came to craziness. Also, Sephiroth was an even bigger wuss in battle than Kefka. Should've made Exdeath the villain, now THERE was a challenge. Took me at least seven tries to beat that FF5 bastard boss.

Yeah, blast that Aeris for being an ancient, otherwise we could've made her a little-used only slightly important character. And yeah, Barret isn't that bad, it's just that everyone else except for Red, Aeris and Cloud are cooler than him [img]tongue.gif[/img] Heh, who thinks that FF7's Cid is the coolest Cid of all the FF's? They are Neb [img]smile.gif[/img] Remember that time when they slept together... or maybe napped outside the Highwind? It was kinda romantic... and that already seemed like they are once again back on track (before they were childhood friends right?)

I liked Cloud being the real Cloud, on where he really kicked Spehiroth's ass... hehehe Oh and Sephiroth is indeed one of the greatest villains IMO...

I agree with Yuffie... she is too cute and funny to just be such a side member... yeah she was one of those *secret* characters but what the heck... I like Vincent, I hate BArret... Vincent's story is tragic... the pain... it sucks it makes me forget about Aeris... who died in Disc I... crap. [img]smile.gif[/img]

I wouldn't be too sure.... I think that that dumbass Cloud went on to search for Aeris and the Promised Land, followed by his faithful Tifa who never got any attention from him. And so it went on till they both died of old age... Or perhaps random monster attacks. Those damn things are everywhere these days.

But yeah, it would be the nice thought to think that Cloud was with Tifa and Aeris was with Zack in the Lifestream.

He's a great villain, yes, he has cool motives, he acts cool, he talks cool, he looks reasonably cool(Except for that awful belt buckle of his, it's about the size of a dinner plate! And wear a shirt for god's sake!). But Kefka was crazier. And Exdeath was tougher, far tougher. Oh well, at least he's not as bad as Zeromus. Now THERE was a wuss of a villain

Vincent's story is the best in the game. I wanted to make a party consisting of Yuffie, Tifa, Vincent and Cid. But damnit all, three-person limit and I HAD to drag that dumbass Cloud with me everywhere. The short time where Cid was the partyleader was bliss, pure bliss I tell you. He was much cooler at it than Cloud [img]smile.gif[/img]

Seph has cool all over him... Kefka was... funny... I never really had this feeling of anger or whatever... especially when you get to fight him in the end... when everyone was spelling out their desire to kill him, he says:

"PLease, you sound like chapters from a self-help book!"

And Aeris and Cloud together would make me feel sorry for poor Tifa, let Aeris end up with Zack instead. I loved Yuffie, Cait Sith and Cid because they were the three actually funny characters [img]tongue.gif[/img] It's funny to hear Yuffie's comments on her airsickness "I know you're all DYING to talk to a babe like me, but I'm not really feeling too well right now *URP*"

"Hey Cloud! Sign this contract! Don't bother reading it first!", "Why? What does it say?", "It says that I get all of our Materia once the war is over......"

What FF7 needed was a ToB-ish thing where you heard where all of the characters ended up afterwards. Though I suppose that some of the fun lies in imagining that for yourself.

I think they should have made an FF7 movie instead of just an FF movie. Now THAT would have been Coolness Incarnate. The FF movie had nothing to do with FF, anyway, which is usually a big battle against something really evil and really powerful. And has swords, magic and technology united in the same thing.

And yeah, Kefka's one-liners were hilarious [img]tongue.gif[/img] "Son of a submariner!"
