I took some videos while on vacation and was wondering if there was some computer program out there that I could use to add narration to the videos. My camcorder is not digital. It is an older Panasonic, so don't know if this is possible. Computer experts, your answer please. Thank you.

There is software available, on both Mac and Windows platforms...

Are you planning on burning the final product to CD, or do you want it to go to video tape?

The software will be easier to find. Let em know what you want the final output to look like, and we can find a hardware solution as well.

Thanks RudeDawg (oh sorry, GeekDawg) for your help. I really appreciate it. I hadn't thought of having the final product burned on cd, but that would be great.

You need a gphics card with a video in slot and also a inport for sound. Video programs are mainly I-video for Mac (Freeware or shareware versions) or Premiere for PC among others, cost some.. A large harddrive for ripping the movie.

RudeDawg, don't have a lot of money to spend on this right now. How do I know if I have a graphics card with video slot? The only thing I know is that I have a 16MB NVIDIA TNT2 graphics card.

If you got a round abit larher connection on your card for a pinned cable you probably have one, check your card on the developer site or in the referance that came withit. Perhaps you already have software to rip the film too..

The software programs are pretty expansive but there are some free and shareware that lets you try them fullversioned for at least 30 days or so. You can check for exapmle the www.download.com , browse through the selections there..

Also check adobe and see if you can download a demo of premiere there, it is well ok easy to work with too!
