Can you still use Edwin if you hav this party...and is he any good?

1:Can i (should i) swap Jan for Edwin? Coz i know Jan is funny but he's week as.
2: Do Minsc and Edwin kill eachother?
3: The future party i would like to hav. (If possible )

4: Wat chapter do u get Imoen back?

No Minsc and Edwin will fight. Get Valygar or Mazzy instead for Minsc, Edwin is far better than Jan, and if you've got Imoen you don't need another thief. Just keep your reputation below 18 and you'll be fine.

Edwin is the best mage in the whole game. Not even a PC mage will be better at spellcasting. So yes, he is worth having in any party. The drawback is he is evil, as you have already noticed. That may get you intp some trouble since he won't get along very well with some NPC's.

You get Imoen back in Chapter 5 I think. When you enter the maze in the Asylim I believe. (It's been awhile since I played) =)

I don't hav Edwin yet BUT i am thinking about getting him coz Jan isn't that good...My reputation is around 15 (Popular) and I hav Minsc...does Minsc walk out on your party or somthing if Edwin is in it...

They will fight, one will die, and you can't resurrect the loser because they leave the party to fight. Minsc is no better than Mazzy IMHO, but Edwin is far far better than Jan.

Hmm... I'd suggest swapping Yoshimo for Edwin, and I don't believe there will be any problems with your party members fighting. I played through several games with Minsc/Edwin in the same party, and there was no trouble. The reason I suggested swapping Yoshimo for Edwin is:

Later on in the game, in the Asylum, Yoshimo betrays you and helps Irenicus try to kill you. Jan isn't actually weak, btw, he's good later on.

I used minsc and edwin all the way through SoA, and part way through ToB, and they never fought. I wouldn't discount Edwin just because of the slight possibility of party problems. He rocks; the coolest npc besides Minsc IMO

All you need to do is trade Edwin for Yoshimo and you have a
killer party...3 mages, 1 cleric, 1 thief, and 3 fighters...One
switch and you're rolling till the end.
Jan will turn out to be a good thief, as well as mage, and his
"special bolts" *stuns, etc.* have their use.

1: Some trouble...does this mean whenever i'm near a guard they will atack me..or i can't complete "Good" quests if i have Edwin?
2: Does it make a difference if i dump Yoshi now and not later (muck up story?)
3: Wat is the chance of Minsc and Edwin fighting??? Coz Minsc rules *naturally*

1: Don't worry about guards - your paladin can do good quests w/ Edwin around, though he may bitch about being goody-goody. Keep your rep 18-and-under and Edwin should stay.

2: I believe if you do NOT take Yoshimo with you into Chapter 4, then you will miss the 'Yoshimo incident' and you WILL NOT be able to pick him up after Chapter 4. It's an interesting incident, but not crucial to the overall story.

3: Well some people have just said they had no problem with Minsc/Edwin... ? Wow, I don't know how they managed that - all I know is that I had SERIOUS problems with them fighting after having them a while, so I had to dump one of them. BUT - if you reload after a fight breaks out, they may not fight on the reload... fights seem to be randomized a bit. Yah Minsc rules, but Edwin is REALLLLLLY skilled...
