I caved on that door as I wanted him dead dead dead and went and got Jan to pick the lock for me. I know it violates the rules of soloing, but I wanted him dead and a certain object in my possesion.

Transforming into the Slayer will do, ay? If you can wait with Kangaxx till chapter 6 that is.
You know I completely forgot about the slayer. I can wait until chapter 6 no problem. I actually think this will be the first time I have ever had a need for the Slayer!

Question.

Can summons attack locked doors? If yes, then there's your answer.
Tried that approach. Unfortunately, summons cannot target anything other than in game characters - moving the cursor over a door or chest with a summon selected simply shows the no action available symbol. Silly this really, since most summon spells state that the creature will perform the bidding of the caster - well I bloody well want you to smash a door open dammit!

[/QUOTE]try summoning more than one creature and selecting the group to attack the door...you can make some summons that are unable to attack anything still attack an enemy by mass selection and attack...like this is how you can make wizard eye attack an enemy...

Another (cheating) method is to force drink a potion of storm giant strength.
Take any potion a druid can drink. Pause, go to inventory right click on it and click "drink potion" then remove the potion put the SGS potion in it's place and leave the inventory and unpause.

I never use this myself by the way, so not sure if it works. perhaps patch or fixpack corrected it.

So perhaps we could bend the rules just a little bit here, since in theory there are ways for the solo druid to get the door open without breaking character. I don't know, though... Perhaps I'll just use the Slayer. Faldorn *is* probe to fits of rage, after all. I don't know about Jim's druid, though.
