You Aussies have such a low opinion of me!.

As if I would gloat over such a one-sided and humiliating defeat of such a once proud nation. Why would I laugh at Ricky "Dead Man Walking" Ponting suffering so much. I would like to see him hang on until the next Ashes series. 2013 is such a long way off - I wonder how Australian cricket lovers (notable for thei absence at the MCG on the fourth day), will cope with 3 years of grief!

I'm guessing that The Collective will have returned to hibernation after his 2 weeks of blowing his trumpet.

Well you can take solace in the knowledge that there are 5 or 6 top class prospects pushing for a place in your team. What's that? They are stuck with this bunch of losers because there are NO young players coming through? Now that would be a problem wouldn't it? Never mind - it's only a game!

It's been nearly a quarter of a century since Australia has seen gloating like that, I admire the fact that you have remembered how to do it D.

I've had a lot of experience - what with the Rugby Union and the cycling at the Olympics amongst others.

to marmalize (third-person singular simple present marmalizes, present participle marmalizing, simple past and past participle marmalized)
(informal, UK) To thrash
(informal, UK) To defeat decisively

Never mind - only 913 sleeps before you get the chance of revenge!

Oh - a meaningless friendly you say! Unlike the last two days in the Ashes matches there appears to be some Australian fans there. How did anyone get served in the pubs in West London that night?

Whacked, thumped and humiliates - the once proud sporting nation of Australia hangs its collective head in abject shame. I felt really sorry for them last night - but two seconds later I was back to normal.

Good news at last for Australian sports lovers:

"Teenager Meg Lanning hit her maiden century as Australia's women did what their male counterparts could not and beat England by nine wickets."

Hold your heads high!

*(Wonders if the Women openers might get a game for the men's team!)*

Can they run between wickets?

If so they are as good as in.

I know a bloke who lives next door to Shane Watson. The other night he knocked on his door to ask to borrow a bowl of sugar but apparently Shane had run out!

The funniest thing I heard was a Tweet by an Australian:

"To the England Cricket Team - okay, you've made your point, now F*** off!

I miss those days .
