Team Fortress 2
Anyone playing? Have had the game for a few months now and after getting over the initial big differences in the game compared to TFC (mainly the lack of grenades) have developed a small addiction and am currently working on honing my skills as a career soldier and occasional spy
So was the 8 year wait worth it? Is anyone playing and interested in doing battle? Maybe even an IW clan? Well maybe not a clan but it'd be fun to see some regular IW'ers waging cell-shaded war -Madman |

Re: Team Fortress 2
I play TF2 on a regular basis. I'm a medic specialist and usually end top when playing medic, have all the achievements and support the team. I also like to play a bit of ambush pyro if the map allows it (gravelpit, badlands), spy, demoman if team is lacking offensive power, and I tend to do well as a heavy with one of my buddies medicing me. Communication is key though.

Re: Team Fortress 2
I played for a bit, specialising in Spy work, but quit soonafter , because of my newer addiction, guild wars.
'But that's tapered down somewhat... so who knows? I'll probably be returning to the TF2 scene. |

Re: Team Fortress 2
I'm on pretty much daily, for now...for me, it comes in bursts. Lately, I've been trying to keep my Folding@home numbers up, so I only play for a couple of hours at the most.
My Steam name is Lyle_Goodwin.

Re: Team Fortress 2
I used to play it continuously when the Orange Box came out, then it slowly received less attention in favour of other games to the point where I barely touch it. The last time I played was for a couple of days when the medic achievements/weapons came out, just to see what it was like. The achievements were impossible to accomplish (ubering a scout, wtf? ) and even though the new map type was great it wasn't enough to draw me back in completely and so I never got the weapon upgrades. I might give it another shot though, now that they've done the same thing for the heavy. I'm intrigued by the constant mention of sandwiches I'm hearing! Does he eat one for a power boost or something?
My Steam name is Dextrous and I lurk the SPUF forums under the same name. Last edited by Jaradu; 09-05-2008 at 12:35 PM. |

Re: Team Fortress 2
Sandvich = 4 second non-interuptable-by-self 120 healing. Basically, it's a taunt with which you heal yourself. You make yourself a good killing target while sandviching.
I personally think it isn't worth it since I think the shotgun is a vital part of being a good heavy. The shotgun is amazingly powerful and it gives you mobility the minigun doesn't give.
