Here's the deal, i'm trying to take some pictures that i put onto a "memory stick", and put them on the computer. in the instruction manual, it says when you connect the camera to the computer, you have to go into my computer and there will be a new drive there called "Removable disk (E".

the problem is... my burner is set up as drive E:, so when i connect the camera there, nothing new appears in the my computer menu.

i think that if i change my burners letter from e to something else, it might work, but that's just a guess.

could somebody please help me!?!?!? thankyou in advance.

PS: i have windows ME if that's important.

If your Burner is your E: Drive then your memory stick will become the next available drive being F: If you plug two memory sticks then the second memory stick will once again take the spot of the next available drive which will be G:

Not sure why your comp is not picking it up however. I would have thought that these things are plug and play.

Normal config is HDD on C, CDROM (or similar) on D and that leaves E as the next drive letter. They should say "next available drive letter" but these manuals are never very well written. Its unlikely that its hardcodes to only work on drive E, but you can change the CD drive letter by right clicking on it in "my computer" and going into properties.

But it will almost certainlf appear on F when you get it working. When you got your camera there was a floppy/CD with it, yes? Did you install the drivers on that? These things are plug and play, but without the drivers they still dont work. Do you see anything happen when you plug it in? A USB connection should notify windows to ask for the driver disk, but serial wont.
