Here's a complete list of favourite feat. Feel free to add your owns. All comments are welcome!
PALADIN / FIGHTER Power Attack (for cleave) Cleave (extra attack is always nice) Greater Cleave (unlimited extra attacks?!Oh yeah!) Improved Critical (the best) Large Sword Focus (or bastard sword, axe) Large Sword Specialization (but I like longsword better) Great Sword Focus (I like great swords) Great Sword Specialization (Great swords are GREAT!) Dash (run through the enemy spell caster as fast as you can) Maximize Weapon (Maximum Damage, Maximum Destruction!) The Rest Heroic Inspriation (not bad) Fiend Slayer (sounds exciting) Extra Smite (could be useful) Extra Turning (could be useful but clerics got it too) +2 Save feats (take Lightning Reflex if your DEX is low, Iron Will if your Wisdom is poor, Fortifude if your CON is low) WIZARD Combat casting (primary) Subvocal casting (nice) Spirit of Flame (burn baby, burn!) Spell penetration (great!) Spell penetration 2 (very great!) Dash (run!run!) Aegis of Rhyme (ice ice baby) Spell Focus (specially evocation, enchantment and necromancy) The Rest Crossbow Focus (+1 bonus to ranged attacks) Storm something feat (high voltage is always welcome) Acid something feat (cool yeah) CLERIC I'll take combat casting, mace focus, flail prof, flail focus, crossbow focus, extra turning, lightning reflex, improved critical. I don't think about power attack and cleave for my cleric. What about yours? FIGHTER/THIEF Blind Fighting Cleave Gr. Cleave Crip. Strike Dash Dirty Fighting Imp. Critical Imp. Evasion Bow Focus Bow Specialize Max Attack Pow Attack Small Blade Focus (or large sword) Small Blade Specialize (dual wielding large & short sword?) Slippery Mind Rapid Shot (for bows) Ambidex, 2 weapon fighting if you want to dual-wield. BARD What about bard's feats? My bard is not melee fighter he's a ranged attacker, rock singer, spell-caster. What about yours?

Improved initiatice is great for mages, but please note that it works only for spells!
I like Weapon Finesse, Elemental Focus'(Sirit of Fire, Aegis of Rime...), Lingering Song, Cleave(but not Great Cleave), Subvocal Casting and Combat Casting. I stay away from Mercantile Background and Curteous Magocracy, Slippery Mind(isn't that bad, but it isn't something to write about) Turning Feats(Clerics of Lathander have enough of them, and if you don't want easy undead battles you can always skip it totally) and Forester.

I really like Spirit of Fire, just cause IM a pyro. But other than that IM with Bozo on Snake blood and toughness.

You cast spells faster, but that has no effect on non-spellcasters. Atleast not in IWD2
