It seems the managment of Interplay has asked their employees to pick up their personal belongings if this bit of news can be trusted. Go here www.nma-fallout.com

Not really a surprise since they shelved Van Buren (presumably Fallout 3) and others, Interplay has been more concerned about legal issues and seeemingly about covering their (the higher-ups) own butts. Wait and see what happens.

...and now Interplay.... well, this is a dark age for computer game creativity and artistic orginality Not to worry, I'm sure many a phoenix shall rise from these mountains of ashes in due time....

Yeah, I have noticed that a few Russin developer are coming in to fill the void. They have a lower cost of production, which would be easier for them to survive. The only bad thing about it is that they seems to pay more attention to their own russian forum than the english/US ones.

Seems Sierra is still around albeit a subsidiary of someone else.

UM

Lucas arts is not out of business.

They published the years best selling new game KOTOR.
The likelyhood that they will go out of business ever is somewhere around 0%....

I know that Troika Games, part of the team that originally worked on the Fallout series, has expressed interest in the Fallout 3 license.

If the fall of Interplay, the people who cancelled Fallout 3, will increase the chances of Troika Games continuing developing Fallout 3, then I am only happy about this.

Meanwhile, a screenshot on the game Troika is currently developing:

Well, it's a pity... Still, with luck someone'll take their place.

Uss, that's from VtM: Bloodlines, right? That game looks like it'll be awesome...
