It has been a week today since the speechless, unimaginable terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City and the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. (whether or not it really was the target; doesn't matter). We still seek the perpetrators, and for once, the major powers of the western world are united in helping to seek and stamp out terrorist activities. I pray that we are able to find those responsible for these heinous crimes and see justice done swiftly and efficiently.

I was listening to one of my favorite songs by Live yesterday evening, and, listening to the lyrics, it chilled me to think of how apropos they were to the situation the world now faces. I am reproducing them here to share them with you, and to dedicate it to the victims of the tragedy, both last week and to ourselves, the ones who must continue the fight to end terrorism.

10,000 Years (Peace is Now): by Live

The world is burning down
Can't you smell the smoke in the air?
War, disease, and famine
This demon, she is everywhere

Poets and preachers and politicians
They've all had their say
And we got 10,000 years
Devoted to nothing But tomorrow and yesterday
10,000 years....

If all of the ignorance in the world
Passed a second ago
What would you say?
Who would you obey?
I am here to say that
Peace is now...

Mr. President
I hereby pardon you of all your crimes
For they are just as much mine

Selfishness and separation have led me to believe
that the world is not my problem
The world is not my problem
I am the world
And you are the world
And I, yes I, am the world
and you are the world...

If all of the ignorance in the world
Passed a second ago
What would you say?
Who would you obey?
I am here to say that
Peace is now
Peace is now
Peace is now...

So if in the forest look behind you, because that where the ranger is going to be

Grand-Jester of Laghing Hyenas
Messenger of the Emerald Dragon

May a pregnant yak chew on your ear for all eternity.

WOW! Is that appropriate or is that appropriate! That's another thing we should send to the President......

Thanks, Sazerac. Never heard that before.

Saz, It seems like some songs I listen to ..I am adding my own lyrics to help my edge. Live is a great Band. Thank you.
I want to share with you a song that put tears in my eyes today..My inner being seems to translate the words when a strong feeling is present. I dont know. I thought I got even with the blues last week end.

Stick with me here. This is what my mind translated from a song by B&D called hurt train. Ridin' on a hurt train
making tracks
Ridin' on a hurt plane
Ain't no turning back
Im out of here on a hurt train
The moaning of the rails
Seems like a sad song
Last call farewell

A hundred tons of cold concrete
Rustin' on the ground
That whistle keeps on blowing'
It tells me where im going'
is gonna be a long way down
aint no turning back
Now here I sit loaded
Wondering what went wrong
The whiskey I can hold it
I just dont know how long
Im out of here on this hurt plane
A hundred tons of cold steel
Rustin in the rain
The singin of the rollin wheeels
are callin out her name.....
