Okey dokey, I want to know what exactly can this type of arrow do?

Is the chance to dispel 100% or based on saving throws?

What can it dispel?

Why the f*** does it cost 10000+Gps per quiver?!?!

Anything else I should know about this type of arrow?

Thanks for reading.

Judging from what the discription told me, the arrow, when impacted against the designated target, acts like the spell 'dispel magic'. That, or some higher version of 'Breach' that also dispels most forms of magical enhancement or enchantment upon the target that can normally be removed by such spells. In other words, enhancements endowed by magical items are uneffected.

However, I'm fairly certain it cannot disrupt or slightly hinder the ability to cast future spells (as in the spell 'miscast magic'). It can only dispel the current enhancements at the time of impact.

Granted, this is an assertation from limited observation. I only had 5 arrows of this kind ever, and that was near the end of the game. I hope this may be of some use.

Its not affected by magic resistance and has no saving throw. It costs 300gp per arrow so times that by 40 and u get 12000gp. Why it costs that is any ones guess.

I used infinity engine editor pro to check the stats.

Soooo...

If I shoot these at a mage, it will remove without exception his spell protections? o_O?

Will it remove all types of spell protections?

eg. Stoneskin, Spell Immunity, Spell Trap, Protection from Magical Weapons, etc... ...

It works the same as the carsomyrs dispel abilitiy so i think it can remove stone skin.

Judging from other people's repsonses, I think I'm correct in saying that it acts like the version of the spell 'dispel magic' that the sword carsomyr uses. (thanks dragonlord, I thought that was the case, but wasn't too sure)

Which also means that most potections like stoneskin would be removed. However, spells that are not normally affected by dispel magic will remain.

I beg to differ. Firing one of those arrows keeps me from having to pause and make Keldorn do it, or make my magic party waste the valuable spell time to do the same. One arrow, some damage even slapped on, and I dont have to worry about having to cast the spell. That, and if you have enough of them, you can fire it off again without the usual delay in time it takes to cast.

I think my above reasoning does explain why they are more valuable than the average arrow, but 10000+Gps is far too much of an exorbant fee.
