Hello everyone. Nice to see everything worked out fine Stormy, I have had ear infections, not nice. Well Im delighted to say ,I wish! that the weather is just brilliant here today. What more could you ask for than so much rain that you get soaked to the skin. Yep, thats what happened to me today, was out on a big cycle/walk with some friends today, had great fun and it was great excercise, but unfortunately the weather didnt hold out. It was nice on the first leg of the trip yesterday though at least!

Yikes! That's an expensive tire. Good thing I didn't have to have my car towed. Hubby put the spare on and took it to the dealer.

Yeh, Il admit we had a few laughs, especially since part of the walk (well actually the end)was up this very rocky gorge and then through a waterfall, was already soaked so didnt make too much difference! Loved the drive home though, heaters blasting, along with The Who full blast for a couple of hours. Was a great 2day'er, well worth it!

Oh and I agree, digital watches just cant match analog!

Ugh, the weather from Texas seems to have followed me home. It's humid and in the upper 90s

Fortunately I get to stay inside and do homework and play some Age of Mythology every so often

Hi all, how are you? Hope teh weather isn't too bad.
In the 90s Lady blue? how do you cope?

Well, guess what? my knee, which has been plaguing me for a month or more now, was playing up today. it didn't help that i had kickboxing today and was getting thrown all over the place, but what really did it in was carring two heavy bottles of anti freeze across the garden!
my parents refuse to take me to the docter because they claim there is nothing wrong with me. except pain when I walk, climb up or down stairs, or when I put too much weight on it.

Anyway, my leg hasn't dropped off yet. Count my blessings, eh?

Well, the weather's fair enough here today, but I haven't been outside today...lazy lazy lazy...but oh well....

Watching the evening news and surfing the web right now...the possibilities for these Olympics are beginning to frighten me....

Good morning all (well is morning here in Australia)

Got up feeling like crap this morning and still went to work. Really regretting it now.

Still waiting on my War of the Spider queen books to arrive.

Dragonshadow, I know what you mean about bad knees, I've been a baseball catcher for over 10 years and my knees are pretty bad. They really hurt during winter!

How is everyone today ?

Dragonshadow, you get your knee to the doctor, ASAP! Talk to anyone with knee problems, and they'll tell you that can't take any chances with them.

One of my buddies just had a ligament replacement surgery, for the knee that's been bothering him for four years. He's 23, so it can happen at any age.

In the meantime, there's a few things you should do.

1) Cut down on your exercise; rest is essential. If it hurts when you put weight on it, there's no way you should be kickboxing.
2) Ice it after activity; also use heat before activity, to warm up the muscles/ligaments and reduce the chances of further damage.
3) Take anti-inflammatory medication like Ibuprofen, Motrin, etc.

I'm having some minor knee pain right now, and if it isn't considerably better within two weeks of the first time I noticed it, the doctor will be getting a visit.
